Pharmacy Technician - Trained or entry level

Waimate Pharmacy has a vacancy for a full time Pharmacy Technician to join their team.

The hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm, with the odd rostered Saturday morning, 9am to 12pm.

This is a busy role with a wide variety of tasks both in the dispensary and in retail. There is plenty of customer interaction and a fun pharmacy team to work with.

Applicants should have a NZQA National Certificate in Pharmacy (Technician) or be prepared to commit to the three year training programme through the Open Polytechnic (this will involve study outside of work hours). 

Other skills to have include:

·         Pharmacy retail experience or other retail sales experience

·         Consistently accurate and a quick learner

·         Be passionate about customer service

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·         Ability to build strong rapport with customers and team members

·         A physically fit person who is confident, friendly and approachable

·         Stable work life balance with an excellent work ethic

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
