Board Members – Volunteer position
The Waimate Historical Society is a community run organisation to enable people to explore the cultural and natural history of our local area.
The Board is responsible for control and direction of the organisation by developing a governing policy ‘umbrella’ which guides processes and strategic governance to ensure long term health and prosperity of the organisation providing leadership by way of ‘duty of care’.
If you have experience in governance, policy making, property, event and fundraising management, we are keen to hear from you.
Desirable attributes include an interest in heritage buildings, the collections entrusted to us by the wider community, an enthusiasm for preserving and promoting our local cultural and natural history with previous volunteer experience. A background Police check will be required.
