Fixed Term Part-Time Teacher Aide Position
Waimate Main School
Waimate Main School is looking for a Teacher Aide to join their supportive and friendly team until the end of the year. This role is for four hours per day Monday to Friday, until Tuesday 15th December (term time only), starting Monday 20th of July 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Able to build strong, trusting, professional relationships with tamariki/children
Collaborative team player who can communicate effectively with the classroom teacher to understand how best to engage akonga/students
Support akonga/students with high and complex needs to develop social skills and emotional regulation or a willingness to undertake relevant professional development to upskill in this area
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have evidence of success in the above areas. Whilst experience of working with children is beneficial we welcome applicants who have developed this expertise in other settings.
