Permanent Part-Time Caretaker Position - Waimate Main School

Waimate Main School is seeking a proactive and practical person to fulfil the role of Caretaker, to ensure that our buildings, grounds, and property are maintained to the highest level. The role is for 10 hours per week including during the school holidays. We are looking for someone who has the ability to use their initiative, takes pride in their work, is proactive, and has good time management skills.

To efficiently perform the variety of duties required you will need the following skills and attributes:

● Be a people person, friendly, welcoming and a good communicator

● Be flexible, as no two days are the same

● Display a high degree of integrity and confidentiality in liaising with the community and school

● Be willing to undertake training

● Be physically fit

● Possess practical skills, in order to problem solve and undertake minor maintenance

● Be able to keep clear and up to date health and safety records
