About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Kindergarten General Manager to oversee the operations of our three kindergartens in Waimate. This pivotal role involves ensuring high-quality early childhood education, fostering a collaborative environment, and leading a dedicated team of educators. Hours are to be negotiated.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management - Lead and support the kindergarten teams to deliver outstanding educational experiences.
Foster a positive and inclusive culture among staff, children and families.
Operational Oversight - Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and uphold the standards of the Early Childhood Education framework.
Manage budgets, resources and facilities across all three kindergartens.
Community Engagement - Build strong relationships with families, community organisations and stakeholders to promote the kindergartens’ strategic objectives.
Participate in local initiatives and events to enhance community involvement.
Quality Improvement - Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to continually improve education outcomes.
Conduct regular evaluations and feedback sessions with staff to ensure best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience in early childhood education, with a focus on management and leadership.
An understanding of the New Zealand Early Childhood curriculum (Te Whariki).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment.
