Tractor Driver and Agri Manager
We are looking to fill the role of Tractor Driver & Agri Manager in our family business. Across our business there is a range of farming and tourism interests including deer, dairy, young stock finishing, and trophy hunting. Reporting directly to management, this will be a varied role across our farms where you will be responsible for crops & pasture, machinery maintenance, stock cartage and other farm duties, including stock work from time-to-time. This role is designed for the continual improvement of standards working alongside our other key farm staff. We are looking for someone with a very high standard of work and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Manage spring cultivation for crop and re-grassing in line with annual farm plan.
Implement best practice for operating tractors, plant and machinery.
Manage conservation of feeds when required.
Oversee the sub-contractors for the crop agronomy, including the agronomist, the fertilizer contractor, and spray contractors.
Management of other casual tractor drivers to ensure all required work is being completed.
Implement a maintenance plan on all machinery and vehicles.
Responsible for ensuring maintenance plan is adhered to so all plant is well maintained, and that mechanics are notified of servicing requirements and repairs.
Ensure all plant and vehicles are compliant with health and safety requirements.
Transport stock or feed as required throughout the year.
Be available to complete other farm tasks when there is no tractor work required, including but not limited to, fencing, weed management, stock water.
Key Requirements
HT licence beneficial but will be provided.
Positive, forward-thinking attitude and a solution focussed mindset.
Ability to strictly adhere to H&S and quality processes and complete relevant documentation as required.
Awareness of farm and equipment hazards, along with the ability to minimise and remove risk.
Willingness to work hard and be interested in involvement in a variety of general farm activities.
Clear communication with team.
Have the ability to work flexible hours as required.
