Fertiliser Truck Driver – Waimate

Rural Transport is a well-established, family owned and managed transport company with a late model fleet of trucks. Our head office is in Ashburton with depots in Fairlie, Waimate and Kurow.

We require a Class 5 driver to join our team in Waimate.

Key Responsibilities in this role include;

• Ensuring all product carted is loaded and arrives at its destination safely.

• Ensuring that the truck, and all corresponding equipment is carefully maintained.

• Maintaining good relationships with customers and other staff members.

Key skills and experience in this role will include;

• Previous experience with similar or adaptable role.

• Good geographical knowledge of the South Canterbury district.

Position Requirements;

• Physically fit and able to carry out the rigors of a full day and week of associated activities.

• Be able to follow instructions but also be able to use initiative and common sense when the need arises.

• A good, basic Health & Safety understanding.

• Must live within a reasonable distance of our Waimate depot.

• Work days are varied so you must be flexible in work days and be prepared to work weekends when required.
