Sheep, Beef and Arable Position

Rocky Point Station is a large family owned and operated arable, sheep and beef operation located in the Hakataramea Valley.

We run Angus cattle, Romney sheep and finish all progeny. We also grow cereal and small seed crops plus brassica's associated with finishing and wintering livestock. We are looking for a skilled person to join our team due to a long term staff member heading overseas.

The role includes:

• Ground cultivation

• Fertiliser spreading and drilling

• Harvest roles - Carting, silo preparation, grain handling

• Mowing - with rear and back mowers

• Feeding stock in the winter + break fences

• Maintenance of equipment and general farm R+M

• Tasks associated with livestock through out the year

We run a modern fleet of John Deere and Case Machinery.

The ideal applicant requires:

• Significant experience operating modern machinery

• Has some livestock experience or willing to learn

• A tidy person who take pride in the machinery and equipment

• Works well in a team environment

Given the property is a diverse operation, experience in all fields isn't required, rather the right attitude and ability to learn quickly.
