Station Support Officer
Station Support Officers (SSO) are pivotal to the efficient and effective delivery of front counter and back-office services within a police station.
The role of Frontline Station Support Officer is to provide customer service for the public, based at Waimate Police Station. Every day you will be dealing with challenging situations which will need to be approached with professionalism, respect, and a positive manner. You will be welcoming people into the station and ensuring their enquiries are understood and handled appropriately.
Another function of the role is administration support including the management of exhibits, found property stores, assembling court files, ordering supplies, managing courier deliveries, ensuring Station security requirements, and acting as a general fountain of knowledge for the smooth operation of the station. The successful applicant must have sound computer skills and ability to learn new systems and applications. You will also be required to take Witness/Victim Statements as part of preparing files for investigation.
