Otago Airspread is an agricultural topdressing company servicing the Otago and Southland areas. We require a permanent fulltime loader driver to join the team at our Waimate base.

The position requires loading the topdressing planes, moving loaders to and from airstrips and basic maintenance of machinery.

No two days are the same in this industry. The job gives you the opportunity to work in some of Otago’s most scenic areas while in the loader, or in the sky flying to and from jobs.

REQUIRED

• Classes 2 and 4 heavy traffic (we are happy to assist with class 4 if you fit the criteria to attain immediately)

• A dangerous goods license would be a bonus, but we can assist with that.

• Positive hardworking attitude

• Flexibility – agricultural aviation is a weather dependent job so start and finish times to your day may change and hours/days of work will vary with weather/season So, if you have an interest in agriculture and aviation, have a solid work ethic and the ability to show some initiative we’d love to hear from you. This role will give you a lot of paid down time in the winter months or windy days. A typical year will see you doing between 1200 – 1400 hours not 2000 hours which is what you would do based on a 40hr per week role.
