We're on the lookout for talented Industrial Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians to join a brand-new, high-impact team as we bring our electrical function in-house. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something from the ground up—working in a fast-paced, technically advanced manufacturing environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities. In this role, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of all electrical systems and process instrumentation across the site. You'll play a critical part in supporting the production of world-class infant formula by driving compliance with strict regulatory standards, minimizing downtime through expert troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, and contributing to automation and process improvements. In the role of Industrial Electrical & Instrumentation Technician you will be responsible for (not limited to):
Safe and compliant execution of all electrical and instrumentation work.
Minimal unplanned downtime through effective fault finding and preventative maintenance.
Accurate and timely calibration of critical control and monitoring devices.
Reliable operation of automation systems supporting production efficiency.
High standard of documentation, reporting, and CMMS data entry.
The successful applicant will have:
The successful applicant will be a qualified and motivated tradesperson, holding a New Zealand National Certificate in Electrical Engineering and a current New Zealand practising licence. You will bring 3+ years of hands-on experience in a high-compliance environment such as food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or industrial processing, where safety and quality are paramount. Strong practical knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, instrumentation, and automation is essential, and a hazardous area endorsement would be highly advantageous. You will thrive on fault-finding, supporting plant reliability, and contributing to continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.
