General Farm Hand - Deer Farm

Start Date : December/January, permanent full-time position

We are looking for a reliable and hard working general farm hand to join our team on our busy deer farm.

This is a varied, hands on role working with multiple stock classes and all aspects of day to day farm operations. The successful applicant will work closely with the farm manager and other staff to ensure the farm runs efficiently and to a high standard.

About the role:

• Day to day general farm operations

• Working with multiple stock classes

• Deer handling and stock work

• Tractor and machinery operation

• General farm maintenance and tasks as required

• Hours will vary depending on time of year and seasonal work load

What we're looking for:

*Must be a New Zealand resident

• Previous deer handling experience *Tractor and machinery experience

• Good stock handling skills

• A Class 2 license would be an advantage

• Good communication skills

• Able to work effectively as part of a team or comfortable working independently and unsupervised as required

• Reliable, punctual and hard working

• A positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in

• Full New Zealand drivers license
