Located on the northern side of the Waitaki Valley, Mt Parker Farm is a breeding and finishing operation on 1,500 hectares. The land consists of river flats, rolling downs and tussock reaching 2,100 feet in elevation. Currently a sheep and beef breeding and finishing unit, the property will intensify its farming practices through an extensive development programme to maximise production and productivity.

  • Plenty of job variety from operating tractors & excavators to fencing & general farm duties.

  • Live in the attractive Waitaki Valley, centrally located to town centres, rivers and hunting on your doorstep.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in general farm work, fencing and operating machinery.

  • The ability to be reliable and work autonomously

  • Ability to show initiative and be responsible for their work

  • A passion for the farming industry and enthusiasm for learning and developing their skills

  • A positive self-starting attitude, a strong work ethic and practical skills

  • Excellent communication and self-management skills

  • A commitment to work on a variety of tasks from working with stock, operating machinery, general farm duties and fencing

A competitive salary (or hourly rate if preferred) will be negotiated with the successful applicant. A three bedroom house is available on the farm and provided as part of the package.
