About the Role

Our On Farm Assists travel to and from dairy farms throughout the region to provide our farmers with much-needed support on farm.

No two days will be the same - you will assist with a range of different on-farm activities such as setting up sheds for herd testing, herd test support during milking, DNA sampling, herd audits and weighing animals - just to name a few.

If you are someone who thrives in busy environments, cares about animal welfare, enjoys being in the rural environment, loves helping people and craves variety, then this role is for you!

About You

Our ideal candidates will:

  • Have a positive 'can do' attitude, and learn quickly

  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Have excellent time management skills and a strong attention to detail

  • Be physically fit and active

  • Be self-motivated and professional

  • Hold a current, FULL drivers' licence (essential)

  • Have the right to work in NZ immediately (essential)

The ideal person will be someone who has a hands-on approach, knowledge of, and empathy for the New Zealand dairy industry. An integral part of this role will be interacting with farmers and field-based staff to ensure LIC deliver a quality service.
