Part-Time Retail Customer Service

Location: Waimate ITM
Role Type: Part-Time (Minimum 20 hours per week)
Department: Retail Showroom – Hardware, Garden Goods & Paint

About the Role

Waimate ITM is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused member to join our retail showroom team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping customers, has a friendly attitude, and is keen to learn about a wide range of hardware, garden, and paint products.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing outstanding customer service

  • Assisting customers with product

  • Operating the POS system and handling transactions

  • Restocking shelves and maintaining tidy, well-presented displays

  • Supporting the wider ITM team as required

What We’re Looking For

  • A friendly, helpful personality with strong communication skills

  • Retail or customer service experience (preferred but not essential)

  • Reliable, punctual and willing to learn

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Some product knowledge in hardware, garden goods or paint is a bonus
