We’re seeking an experienced Chef to lead our kitchen team! Location Canterbury region Position Type Permanent Hours of work Full time, Min – 30 hrs per week, Monday – Sunday (Rostered) Pay rate= $25 to $35 per hour depending on the experience. Be responsible for all restaurant service attributes on a day-to-day basis.
Plan menus, estimate food and human resource required
Minimize food wastage and increase profitability
Maintain costs to establishment standards.
Discuss the menu with the manager and other restaurant staff.
Order food supplies and check the freshness of food and ingredients.
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
Discussing the customer feedback/complaints with the manager and kitchen staff and respond to the complaints.
Be responsible for imparting knowledge, skills and trainings to kitchen staff members.
Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.
Demonstrate kitchen staff the cooking techniques and procedures.
Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen to achieve the high standard of food hygiene and health and safety of the staff.
