General Farm Hand

We’re looking for a practical, hardworking General Farm Hand to join our team on a sheep, beef, and cropping property located in Waimate. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of stock work and machinery, and wants to grow their skills in a progressive farming company.

About the Role:

• This is a hands-on position covering a wide range of duties across livestock and arable operations, including:

• Day-to-day animal health and husbandry

• Mustering and yard work with sheep and cattle

• Fencing, water maintenance, and general repairs *Operating tractors and other machinery during cultivation, planting, spraying and harvesting

• Assisting with drenching, shearing, weaning, calving and lambing

• Weed and pasture management

We’re Looking For:

• Prior experience in a sheep, beef or cropping system

• Good stock sense and handling skills

• Competent with tractors and general machinery

• Physically fit and reliable

• Strong work ethic with a willingness to pitch in wherever needed

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• A current driver’s licence
