New Zealand Horn & Antler Safaris is family run guiding business run by Craig and his wife Jenny. He has been guiding since 1999 and has been in and out of the mountains working with animals his whole life. 

Craig and Jenny are now looking to recruit for a fixed term Expeditor/ Master Skinner to help them with their 2023 hunting season.

Successful candidates must have the following skills and knowledge:

• Knowledge in the anatomy of animals for the purpose of skinning for full Taxidermy purposes. This knowledge must include all knowledge in facial and body anatomy to ensure all skinning is completed to the highest degree for Taxidermy purposes. 

• Knowledge in fleshing of Lips, eyes, nostrils and the turning of the ears. 

• Knowledge in the anatomy of animal hooves for the purpose of removing the internal bone cartilage.

• Knowledge in field skinning of trophy animals to ensure hides are skinned to the highest standard for complete taxidermy purpose.

• Must have the knowledge to be able to debone all meat from the animals for meat recovery and must be clean and fit for human consumption.

• Knowledge in the cleaning, boiling and sterilizing of skulls, bones, horns for the purpose of full taxidermy.

• Knowledge in chemical tanning solutions for the purpose of preserving hides for full taxidermy purpose. This includes the understanding of Ph testing of chemical tanning and neutralizing of chemical tanning.

• At least two years of relevant experience is required.
