The role
As one of our three regional catchment coordinators, you will be responsible for the delivery of the ‘Wai Connection’ project within South Canterbury, and reporting to our Canterbury ‘Wai Connection’ Regional Manager. You will be working closely with the regional team, both remotely and in person, to support delivery across Canterbury. You will be providing direct support to a selection of catchment groups through restoration planning, engagement programmes, freshwater monitoring, and support with fund procurement. Your goal is to bring all the right people together and provide the support they need to improve freshwater spaces. You will be supported by EOS Ecology’s science, GIS, and science communication teams, and by our Engagement Services Manager/Canterbury ‘Wai Connection’ Regional Manager. We will also provide support through your attendance at key ‘Wai Connection’ training, including MTSCT Wananga (September 2024) and NZ Landcare Trust’s Aotearoa catchment extension training programme during 2023–2024 (dates TBC).
